The Makeout Room

We are the Tenants Union and we fight for you. Formed in 1970 as a group of volunteers called the Tenants Action Group, we fought for one of the strongest rent control laws in the country. Today our collective spirit continues, with volunteers counseling tenants most days and a steering committee advocating to ensure tenants are secure in their homes. We have successfully defended rent control from attacks by the real estate industry statewide. With your help we continue to make our laws better!

We are NOT funded by government grants and declare our opinions loudly and proudly. Almost all of our funding comes from individual donations from our members, and the rest is from the community support of folks like you! Please join us in celebrating our dedication to tenants rights.
In solidarity,
Your Tenants Union
